I am on the verge of getting a text from my mother asking about my Christmas list. Truth be told I don’t really need anything but any gifts mom buys are wonderful. Except she would rather know what’s actually on my list because she can’t read my mind.
It makes sense when you’re doing holiday shopping and when you’re in everyday conversation. The things you think are obvious or accommodating (like saying, “Anything you get me is great!”) are actually the things causing issues, stress and tension.

NFL
Two players in the NFL are chasing history this year. Seattle wide receiver Jaxon Smith Njigba and Cleveland pass rusher Myles Garrett. Garrett is closing in on the single season sack record of 22 1/2. He's recorded 19 sacks so far and there are still five games to play.
JSN could become the first wide receiver to reach 2,000 yards in a single season. He's already set the Seahawks franchise record for most receiving yards in a season and sits at 1,336 yards through 13 weeks.
NCAA Football
Rivalry week produced some fun college football games over the weekend and Ohio State and Indiana remain as the two unbeaten teams this season. Top-ranked Ohio State beat rival Michigan and will play No. 2 Indiana for the Big 10 Championship Saturday. It's one of nine conference championships taking place this weekend. After those games are completed the top 12 teams are selected for the College Football Playoff.
NBA
We've reached the quarterfinal round of the NBA Cup. It's the third year of the in-season tournament and the quarterfinal games take place December 9-10 which a champion crowned December 16. The defending NBA Champion Oklahoma City Thunder are one of the remaining teams and own the best overall record in the league right now at 20-1.
NCAA Basketball
In college hoops, the LSU women set an NCAA record by scoring 100 or more points in seven straight games. The record had stood for 43 years.
MLS
The MLS championship match is set between Inter Miami and Vancouver. It's the first MLS finals appearance for both teams and a chance for soccer legend Lionel Messi to capture his first MLS title with Inter Miami.
